MLB schedule — FAQ

What time do MLB games start today?

Every game on the board shows its first pitch time in Eastern Time, straight from MLB's official schedule. Doubleheaders are tagged DH, and postponements flip to PPD as soon as MLB updates the game.

Where do the win percentages come from?

From our model, not the sportsbook. It projects each club's runs from its lineup, the opposing starter and bullpen, park, and weather, then converts those runs into a win probability. Numbers post each morning for that day's games and are graded in the open on the Game Predictions board.

Are the probable pitchers confirmed?

Probables come from MLB's official feed as clubs announce them. Same-day games usually have both starters listed; games further out show TBD until the club announces. A starter's season ERA rides along once we have it.

How far ahead does the schedule go?

The whole season — every remaining regular-season date, plus the postseason once matchups are set. Past dates keep their final scores, so you can walk the season in either direction.
